Here’s the boring but necessary bit …

Henry's Hounds's main priority is to provide a safe, secure, relaxed and happy experience for all dogs, as far as is reasonably possible. Please be aware that by the very nature of the service we provide there are certain risks involved when dogs are put in an unfamiliar environment, interact with other dogs and meet new people. Therefore, by completing and signing our registration form you are agreeing to our following terms and conditions:

  • Prior to any booking being considered a visit to your home by Henry's Hounds must be arranged as it is very important to us that you feel happy leaving your dog in Henry's Hounds's care for either dog walking, drop ins or house sitting. This visit is also to ensure Henry's Hounds can make an accurate initial assessment regarding the suitability of your dog (such as its social behaviour, energy levels, suitability for off lead walks and check for any signs of aggression or unsociable habits) and is for the benefit of all dogs who are in Henry's Hounds care.

  • Henry's Hounds reserves the right to refuse or terminate the contract for any dog, or owner, who displays aggressive, destructive or unreasonable behaviour and there will be no refund for any services.

  • Henry's Hounds does not accept any responsibility for the death, loss, injury or illness of a dog whilst in their care. Owners are strongly advised to make sure their dogs are insured for all eventualities.

  • In the event of a dog being injured or involved in an accident or emergency, Henry's Hounds will make every endeavour to contact the owner and/or their emergency contact, to inform them of the situation and for their instructions. If the owner cannot be reached but veterinary treatment is required, the dog will be taken to the owner’s veterinary practice. Full responsibility for the medical treatment and costs, of any injuries or illness that a dog receives, will be the owners and such costs will be reimbursed immediately. Henry's Hounds is authorised to take any action necessary to protect themselves, registered dogs and any other individuals, including requesting or arranging medical treatment, as per the signed vet release section on the registration form.

  • Dogs showing signs of disease or illness will not be accepted for dog services by Henry's Hounds.

  • Owners must provide all food with full feeding instructions for any dogs that require feeding during drop ins.

  • Owners must provide all medication, with full dosage and administration instructions, for any dogs that require treatment during drop ins.

  • On confirmation of a booking an invoice will be issued with payment due via BACS transfer before the commencement of a booking.

  • The agreement for dog walking or drop in services may be cancelled at any time by the owner or Henry's Hounds for whatever reason. However, both parties must provide a minimum of 7 days notice of cancellation prior to any scheduled services.

  • If an owner cancels a booking within 7 days of the start of a booking, there will be no refund and the full balance fee will still be payable. If Henry’s Hounds cancels a booking within 7 days of the start of a booking they will forfeit the entire fee and refund the deposit already paid.

  • Henry's Hounds has Public Liability insurance cover and a copy of the certificate is available to see at any time on request.

Dog Walking & Drop In Services

  • The owner shall be responsible for providing collars and/or harnesses (with tags), leads, coats, muzzles and bedding, as required, for the dogs registered.

  • The owner recognises Henry's Hounds’s right to walk dogs for other owners, in addition to the owners dog(s) and  in the same group as the owner’s dogs. If the owner does not agree to this they must let Henry's Hounds know in writing via email and shall instead pay for individual or private walks.

  • Henry's Hounds agrees to limit the number of dogs walked in one group at a time to a maximum of 4 dogs per individual.

  • Henry's Hounds shall secure all dogs and transport them safely in Henry's Hounds’s own vehicle from the owner’s home to the secure fields at Valley Farm, Valley Lane, Buxhall.

  • Henry's Hounds only accepts neutered dogs (both male and female) for group walks. However, unneutered puppies up to the age of approx 10-12 months will be assessed and may be accepted at Henry's Hounds’s discretion.  Any other unneutered dogs would be accepted but only for individual or private walks.

  • Dogs will be walked off lead at the secure fields at Valley Farm, Valley Lane, Buxhall, unless an owner specifically requests otherwise or a dog’s behaviour off lead is considered unsuitable. When walking anywhere else, dogs will be walked on lead.

  • Any dogs displaying signs of aggressive or unsociable behaviour will not be accepted for group walks.

Henry's Hounds reserves the right to make changes to these terms and conditions and their prices at any time, without prior notification. It is the owner’s responsibility to check them on a regular basis at Henry's Hounds’s website: www.henryshounds.co.uk.

These terms and conditions (including the Registration Form referred to above) and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter (including non-contractual disputes or claims arising in connection with our agreement to provide services to you), shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any such dispute or claim.

Provision of any services implies you have understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.
